Blocked when running after unzip? Follow this table
This app is completely free and contains no malicious code. Because we have not purchased a code-signing certificate, Windows Security may occasionally flag it — that is a false positive. Use the fixes below.
1“Windows protected your PC”, or antivirus flags the file
→Click “More info” → “Run anyway”. If it was quarantined, add it to your antivirus allowlist first, then unzip and run again.
2Nothing happens on double-click, or “no permission to run”
→Do not unzip into C:\Program Files (it requires admin rights). Use a normal folder such as D:\LazyMeow-Pet or the Desktop, then run it.
3The file is locked, will not open, or crashes on launch
→Right-click XiaoJu-Pet.exe → Properties → tick “Unblock” at the bottom → OK, then run it.
4Not sure which file to run after unzipping
→Fully unzip the archive first, open the folder, then double-click XiaoJu-Pet.exe (do not run it from inside the zip viewer).

How to verify it yourself
On Windows, open a terminal in the download folder and run certutil -hashfile XiaoJu-Pet_1.0.2.zip SHA256 — if the 64-character string matches the value above, the file is the genuine one.
